Morningstar Farms Veggie Dogs
Nutritionally each 'dog' has 80 calories compared to 180 in Ball Park Franks (which we had to call out as DietTrash), 1% of the recommended daily amount (RDA) for total fat, no saturated fat, 24% of the RDA for sodium (580 mg), 11 grams of protein and 6 grams of total carbohydrates, which includes 1 gram of fiber and 2 grams of sugar. The big difference is in the dramatically reduced fat content, with onlu 0.5 gof total fat - no saturated fat, compared to 14 g total fat and 6 grams (30% of the RDA) of saturated fat in Oscar Mayer wieners. The only drawback - there is still a lot of sodium (580 mg or 24% RDA in one dog). One pack with 8 dogs cost $2.98 and it was worth every penny Comments

The birds have parts of their beaks burned off and are kept in tiny wire cages that don't even allow them to spread their wings. Check out the link for more info and to contact Morningstar. You're much better off going with the egg-free versions that Gardenburger and Tofurky make.

was just wondering...morningstar farms veggie dogs...on the package it says keep frozen. Can you refrigerate them too if you do not use all of them because it is a waste to just keep freezing the remainder?
