Healthy Choice Chicken Margherita

Healthy Choice Chicken Margherita has "marinated chicken breast and top with fire-grilled sweet bell peppers and a side of angel hair pasta tossed with roasted garlic, diced tomatoes, basil and a balsamic vinaigrette sauce" or it is, as I like to call it, chicken and pasta. This was sooo good and worth every bit of the 340 calories and 8 g of fat . The vinaigrette sauce was great, the sun dried tomato herb seasoned chicken was excellent, and the angel hair pasta was divine. Having never heard of 'chicken margherita' I wasn't sure what to expect, but the taste was like a nicely seasoned roasted chicken. The only downside was that the angel hair pasta had a slight taste like 'soup noodles.'

Nutritionally, as with most of the ready to eat meals, this was a little high in sodium at 25% of the recommended amount (600 mg). There are also 340 calories, 8 grams of fat, but only 1.5 grams of saturated fat,16 grams of protein and 25 grams of total carbohydrates which includes 6 grams of sugars and 6 grams of fiber (20% of the RDA). There is also 50% of the daily requirement of vitamin A. Not bad at all for an entire meal.

The price was right at around $2.50 and Healthy Choice meals go on sale often.
