Gardenburger Meatless Riblets

Gardenburger Meatless RibletsGardenburger Meatless Riblets are made to look like a small rack of (4) boneless baby back ribs. If you're new to the vegetarian scene and still want your "faux meat" products to taste like real meat, then step away from the Gardenburger Meatless Riblets! You're bound to be disappointed with the taste as they don't taste anywhere close to the real deal. They don't have near enough sauce, but the sauce that is there, is sweet and tangy.

That's not to say that these taste bad - in fact, they do have take a little getting used to for us meat eaters, but the taste isn't unpleasant. Add a little extra barbecue sauce, and I would say that I could get used to eating this.

Each riblet (142 grams), provides 240 calories, 7% of the daily value for total fat (4.5 grams), 580 mg of sodium (24% of the DV), 17 grams of protein and 33 grams of carbohydrates which includes 5 grams of fiber (20% of the DV) and 27 grams of sugars.

The nutrition facts aren't that impressive (although it's better than real meaty ribs), but it's quite high in sodium and sugars. As a meat eater who has no intention of becoming vegetarian (just yet), I would probably not take these with me to a barbecue.

Big time disagreement. These taste great, they have PLENTY of barbecue sauce on theme as-is, and they're heads-and-tails healthier than the real think.

These taste great!!! 5 stars easily, I'm on Weight Watchers and these are my favorite thing out of everything I eat, I put them on low calorie toasted bread with a piece of fat-free cheese, I swear its better than a McRib at McDonalds, there is plenty of barbecue sauce and it tasted good too. This is the ULTIMATE diet food.

I tried these with high hopes, only to be sorely disappointed. For me the issue was texture. I've never liked "gristly" meat and didn't eat ribs much at all. The protein chunks that make up these ribs come off in hunks that feel like a wad of gristle in your mouth. The bbq sauce is really good, but I couldn't even get through one serving.

I LOVE these with Schwan's mashed potato nuggets and corn! Total comfort food....I do add a little squirt of BBQ sauce tho.

I need to know how much fat and sat fat in the riblets
also what is in them for the diet I am on Dr Dean ornish
