There are lots of new food products hitting the supermarket shelves daily. Here are a few new "better for you" foods introduced in March 2010 that caught my eye.
Lipton PureLeaf All Natural 0 Calorie Tea. Bottled tea sweetened using Stevia and Erythritol.
- Naked Juice Reduced Calorie Smoothies. New Naked Juice Tropical Smoothie With Coconut Water and Peach Guava Smoothie With Coconut Water -100% juice smoothies with calories reduced by 35% and still no added sugars or sweeteners.
- Subway Breakfast Sandwiches. The new Subway Breakfast menu will feature omelets made from regular eggs or egg whites and cheese (using cage-free eggs). Options will include Western egg and cheese; Black Forest ham, egg and cheese; double bacon, egg and cheese; and steak, egg and cheese. All the breakfast sandwiches can be customized to include any different breads and vegetables or condiments Subway uses during lunch.

- PepsiCo to reduce sodium. PepsiCo has created a salt with an altered crystal size and shape, aimed at reducing the amount of sodium in its products without harming taste. The salt, which is being tested with consumers, will be used to cut sodium levels 25% on Lay's Classic potato chips and could be used in other products (Source).
