Healthy Foodie Favorite Products of 2009 from EatLiveRun
We asked some of our favorite food bloggers to share with us their 5 Favorite Food Products of 2009.
Jenna from EatLiveRun.com is a culinary school graduate, furiously working on her first book while enjoying her first year of working in the wine industry. She enjoys a fit lifestyle, works out 6 times a week and has been blogging about her daily eats for about more than 2 years.
Jenna's favorite food discoveries for 2009 are:
- 1. Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt. Great for a high protein, low calorie snack and delicious with just about anything mixed into it.
- Kabocha Squash. Addicting straight out of the oven. I recently discovered this squash and now can't live without it. I roast it and eat it plain, peel and all!
- Goat's Milk Cheese. Goat's milk is easier for our bodies to digest and I love to buy it from local farms in my area. It has almost a nutty taste and is excellent paired with a crispy apple!
- Amazing Grass Energy Bars. My go-to bar of choice. Made with all natural ingredients, these bars and raw and vegan and keep me going for hours.
- Almond Butter. What doesn't almond butter go on?! I go through a jar about every week and a half and couldn't live without it. I prefer the unsalted crunchy kind from Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.
Be sure to check out Eat Live Run to read more about Jenna's daily eats.

Jenna is so right; goat's milk products rock! I love the yogurt
Almond Butter.
totally agree with u
What are your recommendations for eating low carb "on the road." I just returned from Las Vegas and while traveling it's almost impossible to find healthy, low carb food on the go.
Thanks!
Susan
Susan - for eating low carb on the road, I think your best bet is to pack it yourself. Stop at supermarkets wherever you go and buy your snacks there. Try and get a hotel room with a kitchinette so you can prepare some of your meals yourself.
good work
thanks
