Healthy Foodie Favorite Products of 2009 from HealthNuttxo Product Reviews

We asked some of our favorite food bloggers to share with us their 5 Favorite Food Products of 2009.

Hi everyone! It's Lisa from HealthNuttxo. The lifestyle I chose to live is eating only natural or organic food products, minimally processed whenever possible. What I can't stand is that my friends and family automatically assume all the "health food" I eat is nasty tasting. THIS IS NOT TRUE! Healthy food can be just as yummy as that processed, sugary and fat laden stuff.

In the year of 2009, I discovered (and ate) a lot of great products. But, my FAVORITE, healthy products of 2009 are ...
  • Amy's Non Diary Pot Pie. A staple in my house. Whenever I'm having a bad day, and want something comforting and delicious, I turn to this. Perfect on it's own, I also like to heat up some extra veggies and add them with the pie.

  • Bell Plantation PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter. Wow, WHERE would I be with out this stuff?! Honestly, I eat it 6 days out of 7, on a sandwich combined with honey, apple butter, Suzanne's rice mellow fluff, etc. You name it, I tried it! I love how I can have 4 tablespoons (a REALLY peanut buttery sandwich) for only 100 calories!

  • Sonoma Gala Apple Crisps with Cinnamon. I looooove apple chips and freeze-dried apples. These, my friends, are a total new twist on apple chips! They are in stick or french fry form, and they are CRUNCHY and CRISPY. Not wimpy like freeze dried or just dried fruit can be, but actual crunch and satisfaction is delivered. Plus you can eat a whole bag for only 80 calories or so.

  • Newman's Own Organics Mints. Not only do they come in super cute tins, they are ADDICTING. I first tried this over the summer, and since then, I went through about 10 tins of the cinnamon flavor. So good, and you can feel good about eating them since Newman's Own Organics donates it's profits to hundreds of charities, and they are organic, of course!

  • Penny's Lowfat Desserts No Sugar Added Cookies. When's the last time you ate a cookie (that was of DECENT size) for 100 calories? And enjoyed it? The chocolate truffle and cinnamon toffee cookies by Penny's are each 100 calories, and are so delicious. The chocolate truffle one is especially good heated up in the microwave with peanut butter spread all over it. Yum.
