Healthy Foodie Favorite Products of 2009 from Eating Bird Food
We asked some of our favorite food bloggers to share with us their 5 Favorite Food Products of 2009.

Brittany's favorite food discoveries for 2009:
- Synergy Kombucha . Kombucha is a living culture of beneficial microorganisms that contains many benefits- it supports digestion, metabolism, immune system, appetite control, weight control, liver function, body alkalinity, anti-aging, cell integrity, as well as healthy skin & hair. I've become hooked on the Synergy drinks, which combine 95% raw kombucha with 5% pure fruit juice, to make the taste more appealing. The carbonation makes them really filling and in addition to all the benefits listed above, they're also a great dairy-free source of probiotics.
- Quinoa. As a pescatarian, I love that Quinoa is a complete protein, a good source of dietary fiber and high in iron. It is also gluten-free, considered easy to digest, has a quick cooking time and a unique nutty flavor. The link points to one of my favorite recipes with quinoa.
- Navitas Naturals Chia Seeds. These little seeds, with their healthy omega fats, protein, antioxidants, and dietary fiber, are the new flax. I love using them in oatmeal and smoothies.
- Amy's Indian Mattar Paneer . When I need something quick I always turn to Amy's products. This particular meal is one of my favorite go-to frozen meals.
- Blue Diamond Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk. This is by far my favorite milk alternative. I like to use it in oatmeal, smoothies, and cereal because it gives a hint of sweetness without any added sugar.
