How I Dined in Oh-Nine: My fave healthy food finds
- Pumpkin Puree. Hi. My name is Joanna Sutter and I am a pumpkin puree addict! I'm not going to lie I was part of the reason there was a pumpkin shortage in some parts of the United States in 2009. I hoarded the stuff and ate my share and probably yours, too. Is it a fruit? Is it a vegetable? I can never remember. All I can remember is that is that I used it in recipe after recipe this year to give my baked goods a healthy shake!
- Greek Yogurt. I am Italian but I feel like I'm officially part Greek due to all of the yogurt I ate last year. Chobani? Oikos? Fage? I ate it all. My favorite? Well, I don't really have a favorite brand but I do prefer it plain so I can mix in it various concoctions.
- Fresh Cranberries. Cranberries have been adding a touch of color to my Thanksgiving table every year but this was the year I actually tasted them. Who knew I would fall in love with these healthy little sweet-tarts?
- Protein Freeze. I do not eat meat so I supplement a lot with protein powders to get my protein fix. The makers of Protein Freeze sent me some samples and I've been using it ever since. This protein powder does it all...from baking, shaking, freezing, and latte-ing. Protein Freeze gets two straws up...it is ahhh-mazing!
- Justin's Nut Betters. I cannot be trusted with a jar of natural peanut butter. Enter Justin's Nut Butter. Their natural almond and peanut butters come in single serving packs making portion control a squeeze and eating on the go a breeze!
"I can sum up my five '09 food finds in one word...delicious!" Go ahead and check out Fitness & Spice for healthy living tips, tricks, ideas, and product reviews.

Hey Pumpkin Girl!
Well...I have that very same problem with natural PB - so maybe I could use those Nut Better's too! It would be way hard to give up the jar, though!!
Ooo. Joanna's list is making my stomach yelp in delight. I'll take 4 of everything!
