Healthy Foodie Favorite Products of 2009 from KathEats

We asked some of our favorite food bloggers to share with us their 5 Favorite Food Products of 2009.

Kath from Kath Eats Real Food is in school to become a Registered Dietitian, and her blog reflects what she eats daily. She manages to incorporate healthy foods with generous portions in fantastic meals. I've had the pleasure of meeting Kath in person and she has a fabulous personality which is reflected on her blog too.

    Kath's fave healthy food finds from 2009:
  • Nuttzo. At first taste, I wasn't totally sold. And THEN the crunch started to happen. This butter is FILLED with flax seeds and crunchy chunks of all kinds of nuts and seeds. I am a big crunchy PB fan, so I liked it more with each bite
  • Peppermint Creme Coffee. One of the best coffees I've EVER had!
  • Fruition Bars. This guy is made from smooshed fruits, oats, cashews, and chia seeds.
  • Scottish Oatmeal. This is the perfect hybrid of multi-grain cereals and rolled oats. They have the blendedness of cereals and the sweet, doughiness of rolled oats - the best of both worlds. SCORE!
  • Chia Seeds. Chias are apparently the new flax seed. They also have omega-3s (even more than flax), calcium and iron, they don't need to be ground and don't go rancid as quickly, plus they are FULL of protein and fiber

I keep wanting to try Chia seeds. It'll be on my shopping list pronto!

Chia seeds are one of my favorite '09 discoveries, too!
