Healthy Foodie Favorite Products of 2009 from Honoring Health
We asked some of our favorite food bloggers to share with us their 5 Favorite Food Products of 2009.
Hi there, my name is Christie and I am the author of the blog Honoring Health chronicling my recovery from binge eating disorder. You won't always find rainbows and butterflies on my blog but you will find my heart felt insights about my recovery, my journey into intuitive eating as well as my yoga practice. I also share meal ideas, recipes and my kitchen adventures as I navigate my way through a gluten free lifestyle. I am delighted to be writing this post for Iateapie.net since I rely on this site for good, honest product reviews. I hope that you will enjoy some of my favorite foods from 2009.
Christie's fave healthy food finds from 2009:
- Organic Canned Pumpkin. Who needs pumpkin pie when you have have pumpkin oats? I love to serve pumpkin oats with nut butter and chocolate!
- Agave Nectar. While agave nectar still has the same calories as sugar, it is much sweeter and won't impact your blood sugar levels as much. I use it in every thing from homemade hot cocoa to baked goods!
- Almond Flour. Since going gluten free, almond flour has been my salvation with cooking and baking. It subs pretty easily for wheat flour and is packed with protein, fiber and healthy fats. Even my gluten loving friends and family agree.
- Justin's Nut Butter Packs. These little packs of goodness are perfect for traveling. Need I say more?
- Flax "Eggs". Vegan or not, flax eggs are the greatest invention since, well, the egg. Once they are set up properly, they make a great alternative to eggs in baked goods and offer amazing health benefits since they are a great source of omega 3 fatty acids.
Be sure to check out Honoring Health to read more about Christie's take on a mind, body & soul approach to health and happiness.

agave is one of the most dangerous, if not the most dangerous, sweeteners out there. You should definitely do some research on it.
Almond flour? Really? Just went I think I'm getting the hang of the healthy foods, along comes one I don't know about (again).
