Kozy Shack No Sugar Added Vanilla Pudding

Kozy Shack No Sugar Added Vanilla PuddingKozy Shack has many No Sugar Added Pudding flavors, and I love the single-serving cups. However, one flavor - Vanilla - only comes in a 22-ounce tub (at least, that's the only size I've found for that variety). I couldn't wait to try this one, so I picked up a tub for $4.39 and hoped I wouldn't down it all at once (which is always the risk when you get a big container, at least for me).

This pudding tastes delicious. It's really thick and creamy, and the vanilla flavor is spot on. I loved spooning up this treat and also imagined all the desserts I could make with it. This may be one of my new favorite vanilla puddings Kozy Shack No Sugar Added Vanilla Pudding.

Hunt's Snack Pack Fat Free Tapioca Pudding

Hunts Snack Pack Fat Free Tapioca PuddingSome of my favorite foods like ice cream and yogurt require a spoon for consumption, but without a mechanism to keep them cold, I'm out of luck. Fortunately, Hunt's Snack Pack Fat Free Tapioca Pudding has a similar spoonable texture but is hardy enough to be stored at room temperature.

Each convenient pudding cup has 3.5 ounces of pudding which seemed to be too small for a standalone snack. The pudding had a mild sweetness and a surprising chewiness. As usual, I wished there had been even more tapioca, but it was still tasty to me.

Jell-O Sugar Free Fat Free Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding and Pie Filling

Jell-O Sugar Free Fat Free Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding and Pie Filling I am most definitely a chocoholic, and I love pudding. There are so many ready-to-eat puddings out there (Jell-O, Kraft Handi Snacks and ZenSoy, to name a few), but lately I've been into making my own at home using Jell-O Sugar Free Fat Free Instant Pudding and Pie filling.

My preferred flavor is the Chocolate Fudge variety, although the others are good too (especially vanilla, butterscotch, and pistachio). One of my favorite ways to prepare this snack is to add the whole package of pudding mix to half of the recommended amount of milk (1 cup instead of 2) for a thicker, fudgier treat. My only word of advice is to be careful when mixing the pudding powder in the milk, as it has a tendency to spray everywhere if you're not careful.

Kozy Shack No Sugar Added Rice Pudding

Kozy Shack No Sugar Added Rice PuddingI'm not the biggest fan of rice pudding, but when I saw that Kozy Shack No Sugar Added Rice Pudding had a "new improved taste," I decided that it was about time I give this type of pudding another chance. The fact that the calories had been reduced from 90 to 70 didn't hurt either!

What's in this rice pudding? I flipped over the package and discovered a pleasingly short list of ingredients: low fat milk (vitamin A and D), water, rice, inulin (chicory root extract), eggs, natural flavors, salt, sucralose, and carrageenan. I opened up a package to see if the flavor was really new and improved, and found a pleasingly sweet, thick rice pudding. The thing that I find so strange about rice pudding (and tapioca, for that matter) is the texture, but I found that this one was very appealing. I liked the flavor and the richness, and found that one cup was very satisfying.

Jell-O Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix Singles

Jell-O Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix Singles I completely fell for an ad in a magazine for Jell-O Pudding Mix Singles. Something about being away from home, not having had homemade pudding for a while and a love for all things cold and creamy drew me in. I was so intrigued that I went to the store later that day to search them out.

Jell-O Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix Singles The directions say to add 1/2 cup of milk to one packet, stir vigorously for 1 1/2 minutes and let sit for 5 minutes. After wearing out my stopwatch, it was time to dig in. The appearance and prominent vanilla flavor is typical of pudding - although it looks nothing like the picture on the box. The color is a light yellow and the mixture looks thicker than it actually is - the consistency similar to that of an uncooked cake mix. Gigi Reviews makes a good point that you could just as easily purchase Jello Pudding Cups, which is already made and portioned for individuals.

Jell-O Sugar Free Chocolate Vanilla Pudding Snack

JellO PuddingFor me, pudding elicits fond memories of lunch boxes and brown bags for me, but since I'm trying to cut down on the calories, I decided to try Jell-O's Sugar-Free Chocolate Vanilla pudding.

There's a layer of vanilla right in the center of this pudding. I suppose I'm supposed to dip my spoon in and come out with the picturesque chocolate-vanilla-chocolate pattern on my spoon. However, stirring it together just until it was swirled seemed more logical to me. The flavor is shockingly good for a sugar-free product: sweet, but without that saccharine metallic after-taste. The chocolate flavor wasn't overwhelming, and I could still taste the vanilla even though I had emulsified it; that in and of itself is a testament.

Kraft Handi Snacks Sugar Free Pudding

Kraft Handi Snacks Sugar Free PuddingWhen Jell-O started making their sugar-free pudding cups, I discovered a new best friend. Great for thickening up smoothies/shakes, I stocked up on multi-packs at Sam's and sampled several varieties. So many flavors and only 60 calories each! However, Jell-O now has a new competitor in the sugar-free pudding market: Kraft Handi-Snacks.

Kraft recently introduced their own low-calorie, no-sugar pudding in three flavors: chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. All three Handi Snacks are tasty, and the consistency of this pudding is a bit thicker than Jell-O puddings: thicker than yogurt but thinner than ice cream. This pudding is also very very sweet, but I detected none of that distinctive aftertaste that many sugar free products have. To get rid of some of that sweet taste, I use Kraft Handi Snacks pudding to thicken my protein shakes - blend it with milk, ice, and protein powder (one of my faves is Aria Protein Powder for Women ).

JellO Sugar Free Chocolate Mint Fudge Pudding Snack

JellO Chocolate Mint Fudge Pudding SnackAfter having reviewed the JellO Fat Free Pudding Snack I still wasn't a big fan of pudding because the texture weirds me out. Nevertheless, a few comments recommended I try the Sugar Free Jell-O pudding cups, so I grabbed a hold of the Chocolate Mint Fudge Sundae variety.

First of all, if you are not a fan of 'artificial sweeteners', then this might not be the product for you, because they use a little bit of almost everything - xylitol (sugar alcohol), sucralose (Splenda) and acesulfame K - no aspartame. All those sweeteners contribute to a very sweet taste but surprisingly, I didn't detect any off flavors or 'chemical' taste. The 'mint' flavor was very light and honestly, I didn't even detect it until I re-read the box and realized that it was supposed to be there. I am not even going to spend too much time commenting on Jell-O's use of the word 'fudge' and 'sundae.' I will simply say that those two words do NOT belong on the product description. I am not even sure which of the two layers is supposed to be the fudge and which the sundae.

One thing pudding is good for, it's to thicken protein shakes - some people don't like using bananas, and so I made a Double Chocolate Shake with GNC Pro Performance Chocolate and Caramel Whey Protein - so head over to IntheGym.net and get the recipe [link].

ZenSoy Chocolate Soy Pudding

Pudding is not something that I usually reach for in the supermarket, but something about the ZenSoy product caught my eye. I think it was the fact that it was certified organic, gluten free, lactose free AND vegan - something that almost everybody and their kids can eat. But it might also have been the Panda featured on the package, who on close inspection appears to be eating the pudding.

My gripe with pudding is that I don't enjoy the thick consistency. Thankfully, while ZenSoy Chocolate Soy Pudding is not too thick! I think they have a formula that pleases even my pickiness, but can still be enjoyed by all the puddin' lovin' people out there. I wouldn't have been able to tell that this wasn't a milk based product, or that it was made from soy. It has a dark rich chocolatey brown color, is creamy and smooth but with more of a sweet taste than a chocolate flavor. There is no aftertaste and no beany soy taste. My only complaint would be that this is a bit too sweet for my liking.

Jell-O Fat Free Devils Food Pudding Snack

Jello Pudding I must preface this review by stating that I am not a big fan of "pudding snacks" and after trying Jello Fat Free Pudding Snack ... I'm still not a big fan, but I can see why people like them. I tried the Devils Food flavor, which means chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate - i.e. it has a very strong chocolate taste (really more of a strong cocoa). The texture is like a thick gel, soft and just dissolves in your mouth. These pudding snacks taste as good as any other that I've had - but as I said before, I just am not a big fan of eating foods with this type of texture. But, I preferred this Jell-O Fat Free Pudding Snack to the Jello Smoothie Snacks and both have the same amount of calories and sugars.
