De Wafelbakkers Buckwheat Berry Pancakes with Flaxseed
DeWafelbakkers Pancakes are made from all natural ingredients, and don't use any preservatives or additives. De Wafelbakker's say that their pancakes "taste like they're made from SCRATCH!" Well, I put that theory to the test.
I tried the Buckwheat Berry Pancakes which have a brown, grainy, 'whole wheat appearance' with a few barely discernible berry specs. Although they are the size of an average frozen pancake, they are definitely thinner than the others. This is important because they got cold fairly quickly (the thin product could not hold heat well so don't even think about doing like 6 at once). I took inspiration from the cover picture and microwaved 1/4 cup of frozen blueberries and strawberries for a minute. Then, I added 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and drained off the excess liquid. The dense pancakes soaked up the juices that remained and made for a delightful treat. All in all, one word sums up this great breakfast product: "Yum!"
