Thanks to the wizards of Fiber Gourmet, we can enjoy this delicious meal without our conscience asking us "why, oh why did you just eat that!?" Fiber Gourmet's Macaroni & Cheese is simply superb. I couldn't believe this low-carb, low-calorie meal could actually be healthy and taste so good too. Generally, Fiber Gourmet Pastas are delicious but their Macaroni & Cheese meal is beyond belief. It's hearty, creamy and dreamy. Everything from the color, the texture and the flavor is amazing, no artificial colors and it's also Kosher certified.
I cooked this meal to my boyfriend, who is a self-proclaimed pasta connoisseur, and he couldn't tell the difference. I highly recommend this product, it won't disappoint you. It's bound to be the healthiest and yummiest macaroni & cheese you'll ever have!
Hodgson Mill All Natural Whole Wheat Macaroni and Cheese
Hodgson Mill All Natural Whole Wheat Macaroni and Cheese has a vintage look box which stood out among the bright blue boxes of Mac-n-Cheese-a-saurus Rex's. Another plus to the box is its composition of 100% recycled paperboard, so into my grocery cart it went.
After about 10 minutes of preparation, a big bowl of whole wheat elbow noodles covered in an all natural mild cheddar cheese sauce tempted my grumbling tummy. The sauce gives the noodles a wholesome white sheen and the flavor is not too "cheesy", but it is enticing and delightful. It tastes more like a homemade noodle dish than a fluorescent, artificially flavored macaroni and cheese. In fact, the white color and light flavor reminded me a bit of Alfredo sauce. Additionally, there is just enough sauce to coat the noodles: no more, no less.

It is bland and tasteless, and they might have well been using the powdered cheese stuff because, I still wasn't able to tell that it was real cheese. This is just not one of your better choices.
Since Lean Cuisine makes it, I eat least expected that the nutrition facts would not be too bad. It turns out that this could also use some improvement.

In Ann's glowing review of Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli yesterday [read the review], she mentioned that Amy's Macaroni and Soy Cheeze so I decided to grab a box and try it at lunch.
I love Amy's but I can't share Ann's enthusiasm for this one. I thought it was just okay. The soy cheeze tasted similar to the regular, goopy processed cheese that you find in most macaroni meals. Does anybody really eat plain macaroni and cheese anyway? I'm not a macaroni and cheese person, so it might just be me, but while I was eating this, I thought it needed some meat (or fake veggie meat) or something else to kick this meal up a notch. Again, I might be wrong and it might just be me, but there is no way that I would pay $2.95 for just plain macaroni and cheese - no matter how good it tastes (and this is not that good) and lactose intolerant or not! Over at Heat Eat Review, they thought there was an aftertaste [read their review] and gave it 3 stars.
