Fifty50 No Sugar Added Strawberry Spread
Fifty50 Strawberry Spread is a low calorie, no sugar added spread, but with "80% less calories than regular strawberry preserves." Strawberry is listed as the second ingredient on the label - after water, but believe me, there is no trace of strawberry taste - the closest this comes is a faint strawberry scent. The Fifty50 Spread also doesn't spread very well - very clumpy - but that is really secondary, because I can't think of a reason to use this - certainly not in place of jam, jelly or preserves.
I also wondered why they referred to preserves on the label. Surely they are not suggesting that Fifty50 spread is similar or even a substitute for preserves! Preserves actually have chunks of fruit in them - and there certainly aren't any pieces of fruit in Fifty50.

South Beach Diet frozen meals are usually more expensive than the other frozen dinners like Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice and Weight Watchers, so it makes it hard to buy them when you have cheaper options less than 2 ft away, but it's so hard to find supposedly health pizza in the grocery stores, so I thought this was worth a try. I picked up the Grilled Chicken and Vegetable variety and it was too delicious. You could immediately identify that the vegetable topping was spinach and this was an excellent choice, because it made the pizza flavorful, and definitely different from the usual pepperoni blah blah (and I don't even like spinach). They didn't skimp on the chicken either and you can expect to have a piece in every bite.
Genisoy Low Carb Crunch Bar
A low carb bar that actually tastes good? Too good to be true you say? Well, it seems Genisoy has found the perfect recipe. I tried the chocolate chip bar, and you wouldn't know this was low carb because it is actually full of flavor. The bar is crunchy, and does not have that 'off' beany taste of soy, yet it is still sweet, thanks in part to Splenda, according to the ingredients list.
Not only is this bar low carb and taste great, but it is not heavy in the calories or the fat. Many people think that if something is "low carb" it probably has a lot of something else - and that is something you don't want in your diet. Not in this case! In fact, this bar also has 12% of the daily value of fiber and is high protein too.

Why is every food company joining this low carb craze, and being in such a hurry to make products that they make these horrendous concoctions. I'm disappointed in you Yoplait. You have the most delicious tasting low fat yogurt and now you have come out with this nasty tasting mess. I am your loyal customer - please dump this line, or at least make it taste better. What's even worse is the fact that this yogurt still has 90 calories - only 10 less than Yoplait Light. I'm really not a big fan of 'Low Carb' products. So far, I have yet to taste anything good, and they are much more expensive. Yoplait, how about adding some new fruit flavors to your existing yogurts like maybe some mango or kiwi instead?!
