Question of the Day: What is your favorite chocolate treat?

Food Forum Happy Valentines Day to all. My friend asked me this question last night, and I really couldn't think of an answer, so I'm asking you dear readers: Are there any yummy, creamy, tasty chocolates around that won't make you have a mini coronary when you look at the nutrition facts? Or do you just indulge but only in a small portion of your favorite decadent delight? If so, what's your favorite?

Question of the Day: Midnight Snacks

Food ForumGreat question posed by sportegur1 on the forum: There are those times, perhaps after a day with intense workout or when one is stressed out or just can't sleep for some reason, when a late night snack is needed. What do you guys do?

There are already some great ideas in the forum topic, but we would love to hear your favorite 'healthier or diet' snack ideas for a late night treat. Mine are, Tea, cereal, a nice big apple and a cucumber - soak slices in salt water - delish and very low cal.

Question of the Day: Your favorite BRAND of YOGURT

Food ForumWhat's your favorite YOGURT BRAND? I'm a big Yoplait fan (Yoplait Light especially), but Dannon is a really close second (Dannon All Natural Yogurt is yumilicious). I know that there are quite a few Fage Greek Yogurt fans around too (sorry couldn't quite get into the no sugar thing).

Question of the Day: Tips for cutting down on sugar in the diet

Food ForumHow do you cut down on some of the sugar in your diet? It's the first week of the New Year and the first week of my "Holiday Detox Diet." This week I'm working on reducing the sugar intake that skyrocketed over the holidays - so any advice would be helpful. What I'm doing is:
* No sugar or creamer in tea or coffee (I use Splenda).
* No more of that Jamaican Christmas Cake and only water for this week (well, this month really)
* No fruit juice or soda (diet or otherwise).

Share your tips either in the Food Forum or leave a comment here.

Question of the Day: Thanksgiving Substitutions

Food ForumWhat's one way in which you are making Thanksgiving dinner a little healthier? Since, I'm a participant in the eating of the meal (and not the cooking of it), to make my Thanksgiving dinner healthier, I'm doing very small portions of the things that I like and limiting myself to 1 or 2 carbohydrates in the meal - there are so many ... stuffing, pie, mashed potatoes, bread rolls. Let's hear your thoughts because I know some people could use the inspiration. Discuss this either in the Food Forum or leave a comment here.
