August is National Sandwich Month and we are sharing our favorite sandwich recipes daily for the entire month, here at Iateapie.net. Today's delectable delight is a Turkey & Salmon Antipasto Sandwich made with Splendid Spreads Salmon Antipasto!

Turkey & Salmon Antipasto Sandwich

Today's sandwich was just a combination of foods that I had in the refrigerator, and it turned out surprisingly well. I got 3 different varieties of Splendid Spreads to review from the company, and I thought I would try the Salmon Antipasto as a spread on a Arnold Select Honey Wheat Sandwich Thin bun (which I might add is just as tasty as the Arnold Select Multigrain Sandwich Thins previously reviewed). In addition, I had used some Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Meat Coupons, so I was well stocked with Oscar Mayer Smoked Turkey Breast.

    INGREDIENTS (Makes 1 sandwich)
  • Arnold Select Honey Wheat Sandwich Thin (1 bun)
  • Splendid Spreads Salmon Antipasto (1-2 tbsp)
  • Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Smoked Turkey (1 serving)
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Jarlsberg Swiss Cheese (1 slice)
  • DIRECTIONS
  • On one slice of the bun, spread the Salmon Antipasto.
  • On the other, place the cheese & the turkey.
  • Toast both buns (with toppings) in a toaster oven.
  • Add the lettuce & tomatoes to one side.
  • Close the buns together & serve.

The salmon antipasto is very mild but tasty, and the cheese - you could do without it to save calories, but it really makes the taste of the sandwich pop. Clearly I had 2 of these sandwiches!
