Tomato and Cheese Sandwich
August is National Sandwich Month and we are sharing our favorite sandwich recipes (almost) daily for the entire month, here at Iateapie.net. And we have a guest blogger today!
I'm Jenn from Jenn's Menu and Lifestyle Blog. Those of you who know me know that I LOVE sandwiches. One of my favorite sandwiches to have in the summer is a locally grown tomato and cheese sandwich, because when tomatoes are in season, they have the most amazing flavor.

I made this one on Udi's Gluten Free White Bread, which is best gluten-free bread I have ever eaten!
Tomato and Cheese Sandwich

INGREDIENTS
- Udi's gluten free white bread (2 slices - 140 cal)
- Reduced fat and sodium cheddar cheese (1.5 ounces - 135 cal)
- Hellmann's Olive Oil Mayo (1/2 tbsp - 25 cal)
- Black pepper and salt
DIRECTIONS- Slice your tomatoes, then sprinkle with salt + pepper.
- Spread mayo on one of both slices of bread, then layer with tomato slices and cheese.

Very simple, but delicious! One of my favorites for as long as I can remember. If you live in the northeast, try one of these while tomatoes are still in season. And don't forget to head over to Jenn's Menu and Lifestyle Blog to the other delicious morsels always being featured.
