Someone asked why I don't post the nutritional values. It would take a LOT of time to compile & write the nutrition facts for everything - time I unfortunately don't have. I do try to be very specific in weights & amounts to make it easy for you to find the information should you need to look it up. Another question - have I lost weight or what?! The scale says so - 2 pounds according to the digital scale at the gym, in a little over a week. On to the food!
Tuesday. Breakfast: Arnold Grains & More Double Protein Bread (1 slice), Scrambled Egg (1) & 6 pieces of plantain (fried). The orange was my morning snack. Lunch & PM Snack: Dunkin' Donuts Coffee, Low Fat Blueberry Muffin & Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts (1 serving). I was at my dad and he said he got a huge container of the peanuts for $2.00 at Target. I had a handful and then I forced myself to stop. Dinner. I let class out early (much to the joys of the kids) and got home by 8:00PM. It took me 20 minutes to fix my usual - 1 Pork chop, Baked Sweet Potato (175 grams - I think) and 1 serving of Green Beans (forgot to take a picture). Wednesday. Breakfast. Lucky Charms (1 cup) with Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Almond Milk. I was distracted and ate the kids cereal by mistake ... yeah - that was it!
Lunch. Tuna fish on Arnold Grains & More Double Protein Bread and 1 cookie. The cookie was a Wal-mart brand Fudge Striped Shortbread Cookie that the little one insisted I share with him. PM Snack. Pop Weaver Light Butter Popcorn (1 bag). I have popcorn a lot! Dinner. Chicken, Green Beans, Success Brown Rice (Boil in a Bag) & Corn on the Cob.
Ahhh ... today I resisted. We were out and about and the boy-f & kid had Wendy's. I said - no thanks! I resisted the call of the french fries and just said no. Instead, I heated up leftover chicken & rice (1/3rd cup) and quickly sauteed some green beans in olive oil and garlic, plus boiled a small corn on the cob. Late Snack. I had a fight with some Twizzlers and they won (6 sticks - 120 calories, 16 grams of sugar).
