I'm finding that having a public food journal makes me reconsider some of the food choices that I am thinking of making - and that's a good thing. More good news today: Hint Water featured our review of Hint Pear Water on their blog. Ellen reviewed it and loved it! Now on to today's eats. Breakfast: Quaker Old Fashioned Oatmeal, like yesterday, but today it was plain with 2 packs of Splenda. Lunch: Salad made with 2 cups of Romaine lettuce, carrots (84 grams), cucumbers (100 grams) and grapes (20) topped with Maple Grove Farms of Vermont Fat Free Raspberry Vinaigrette (1 serving = 2 Tbsp). I love trying new salad dressings plus using them as a marinade and this one did not disappoint. Am I the only one who loves adding fruits to salads?!
Dessert. I didn't eat the entire salad and about 20 minutes later I had a So Delicious Dairy Free Chocolate Coated Vanilla Bar. It really was was so delicious and also sugar free! PM Snack/ Early Dinner. I had teach in the evening today (gave them a test) so I stopped and got a Blueberry Muffin from Panera Bread and a cup of coffee sweetened with 2 packs of Splenda on the way home. Dinner. The rest of the salad I made for lunch and a serving of Jack Link's Original Beef Jerky. I didn't have enough protein for the day and the beef jerky was super good at only 80 calories, 1 gram of fat and 15 grams of protein per serving (28 grams - about 3 big strips). I should also mention that I take a multivitamin supplement everyday (Centrum) and a Biotin supplement 2x a day - my friend says it made her hair and nails grow, so I'm trying it. So far, I think it has done wonders because my hair is not breaking as much as it did after I cut off my locks a few months ago (yes - I had dreadlocks in and I miss them so so soooo much). Cereal said: It does seem low, (I guess around 1300 kcal) but hopefully we're just missing some information. I also like to use fruit in salads; it gives the dish a nice sweetness. |

Hi! It sounds great that you are trying to eat healthier, but it seems like your caloric intake is awfully low...do you do any exercise as well?
