Dannon is quietly working on a settlement of complaints filed by consumers questioning the health-benefit claims made on behalf of its Activia and DanActive yogurts, reports BrandWeek.
The parties to this and other similar cases have reached a tentative nationwide class-action settlement contingent upon the occurrence of several events./blockquote>
We have reviewed Activia and Activia Light. Activia has a 2 Week Challenge, "Money back Guarantee" . On their website, they say, "Eat Activia every day for 2 weeks. If it doesn't help naturally regulate your digestive system, we'll refund your money." They also say Activia is scientifically proven to help with slow intestinal transit when eaten every day for 2 weeks, as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle."
Has anyone taken the 2 week challenge?

I think the big thing that got Dannon with this case is being unable to show one study supporting their claims. Not even their own research supported the claims! They knew they were misleading people and continued to do it ,and it's not surprising that they're trying to keep it quiet. I would guess that consumers finding out you lie about your products to overcharge them isn't exactly good for your business.
