We mentioned in February that Healthy Choice would be getting a makeover. And now it's official.

Healthy Choice Tomato Basil

March is Frozen Food Month and so it seems an appropriate time for Healthy Choice to get a sexy, up to date, Web 2.0-ish look. Check out HC website, where you'll discover that they have a whole new line of Healthy Choice All Natural Entrees.

All-natural ingredients such as pumpkin, asparagus, 9-grain pastas, and 100% extra virgin olive oil are highlighted in our line of new All Natural Entrées, which includes meatless options. High in fiber for digestive health, Antioxidants such as lycopene and vitamins A and C, Low in saturated fat and cholesterol for heart healthand No preservatives or artificial flavors.

The Healthy Choice All Natural line will have meals such as Sweet Asian Potstickers, Mediterranean Pasta, Portabella Marsala Pasta, Portabella Spinach Parmesan, Pumpkin Squash Ravioli, Sweet Asian Potstickers and Tomato Basil Penne (I snagged these in the grocery store so look for reviews soon).

The Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers and Complete Meals also have new packaging and new meals, like the Fire Roasted Tomato Chicken (read our review), Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, Golden Roasted Turkey Breast, Mandarin Beef Lo Mein and Roasted Sesame Chicken.

I love the new look and the fact that Healthy Choice can now compete with Lean Cuisine which has been steadily releasing new products and innovations like panini sandwiches (Lean Cuisine Southwest-Style Chicken Panini is delish) and Flatbread sandwiches.

I love the new look! I wonder how that ravioli will stand up to LC infamous Butternut Squash?!

Bad news--I tried it a couple weeks ago, and the pumpkin squash ravioli is disgusting.

I did not like the Mediterranean Pasta! It had big chunks of onion and even though you can't see it at all in the picture on the box, it's got a *lot* of spinach.

I like the new look too! I had the raviolis earlier and I didn't like it! I didn't like the spices they used! I think there was cinnamon in it. I love Lean Cuisine's a lot better! I'm gonna try the postickers right now and see if it's better than Lean Cuisine's!

Ok, I ate the postickers and... They're a bit tangier, especially the smell the Lean Cuisine's. Taste is ok, the postickers were a bit bigger than LC's. I still like Lean Cuisine's better!

I've tried a few of these and have not been remotely impressed. The pumpkin ravioli was gross, the tomato basil penne was tolerable and the portabello mushroom was absolutely VILE! It somehow tasted like Windex!

I tried the pumpkin squash ravioli a few months ago. I nearly spit it out it was so gross, but I was starving. It tasted like hot pumpkin pie in a ravioli. The pumpkin would have been tolerable if it were a dessert, but not a main dish. It was just too sweet. It will never beat LC Butternut squash ravioli.
