IateApie.net provides reviews of food products
with diet & nutritional claims such as low fat, low carb, reduced sugar,
less sodium and whole grain.
Every Friday it's New Product Notes time. These are the new food products with a nutritional claim that are launching or due to be launched very soon, and that go into my line-up of products I want to review here on Iateapie.net. Campbell's Soups. They will be reducing the sodium content in all 6 varieties of Campbell's V8 Soups to 480 mg sodium per serving (as we mentioned here), and they plan on introducing introduce a new Garden Vegetable Blend variety in August 2009. There will also be 5 new varieties of Campbell's Select Harvest soups with low sodium. Dannon Activia. Get ready for Activia Dairy Drink and Activia Fiber. Like the Dannon Co.'s Activia yogurt line, both products contain probiotics for improved digestive health. The two new products are designed for consumers on the go and packaged in single-serve bottles. The products are available in packages containing four bottles and come in peach, mixed berry, strawberry and vanilla flavors. Kellogg's All-Bran Rolled Wafers. A lightly sweetened, crispy wheat bran shell rolled around a layer of rich strawberry or chocolate flavors. 3 rolled wafers provide 130 calories, 10 grams of fiber (40% of the DV) and 8 grams of sugar. Morningstar Farms Maple Flavored Veggie Sausage Patties. Morningstar Farms makes some of the most delicious meat alternatives and I'm looking forward to trying this. One patty provides 80 calories, 5% of the daily value for total fat and 10 grams of protein. Pepsi and Mountain Dew. Although I don't discuss "regular" sodas on this site, I found this bit of food news interesting. SeriousEats reports that Pepsi will sell cans of Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback, which will be made with real sugar instead of HFCS.
