Every Friday it's New Product Notes time. These are the new food products with a nutritional claim that are launching or due to be launched very soon, and that go into my line-up of products I want to review here on Iateapie.net.
Quaker Tortillaz. These are rice and corn crisps - something different from regular chips. Their latest flavor is Zesty Guacamole. 130 calories and only 1 gram of fiber, but the fat content is also low at 4 grams total fat (6% of the daily value). Quaker Bars. Quaker Fiber & Omega-3 Snack Bars, Quaker Simple Harvest Trail Mix Snack Bars and Quaker True Delights Granola Bars. More details at the QuakerOats new products website. Naked Juice Acai Machine and Naked Juice Pomegranate. The Acai Machine drink has 178 acai berries and the Pomegranate juice has 4 1/3 pomegranates in each 15.2-oz bottle. As usual with Naked Juice, they won't be cheap. The suggested retail price for the Acai Machine is $3.79. and for the Pomegranate, it's $4.49. Kashi Bakes. The new products are frozen entrees combining Kashi's Seven Whole Grain Noodles and Pilaf with all-natural ingredients and vegetables. Flavors include, All-Natural Tuscan Veggie Bake which has Kashi Seven Whole Grain Noodles, yellow squash, roasted eggplant, red onion and sweet potato paired with a zesty tomato basil sauce; and All-Natural Mayan Harvest Bake which has a bed of amaranth polenta topped with plantains, black beans, roasted sweet potatoes, Kashi" 7 Whole Grain Pilaf, and kale, which is then finished with a spicy ancho sauce and pumpkin seed garnish. Michael Season's Natural Baked Multigrain Chips. New flavors: Original, Cheddar and Honey Chipotle. 110 calories, 4 grams of total fat and 3 grams of fiber. Michael Season's will also release two new flavors of Baked Puff & Curls (White Cheddar and Hot Chili), Baked Thin Potato Crisps (Original, Sweet Barbecue and Cheddar & Sour Cream) and their newly repackaged Thin & Crispy Potato Chips.
