Every Friday it's New Product Notes time. These are the new food products with a nutritional claim that are launching or due to be launched very soon, and that go into my line-up of products I want to review here on Iateapie.net.

So Delicious Coconut Milk Beverage
Turtle Mountain, makers of America's most popular dairy-free ice creams, is due to launch the world's first Coconut Milk Beverage in March 2009. The product provides consumers with an alternative to dairy and soy milks and is suitable for everyday occasions, such as with cereal, in cooking and as a stand-alone beverage. Although this is due to hit the shelves in March, I got the email this week, so it lands on this week's new product notes.
Boost Kid Essentials Drink
Nestle claims that the new drink gives children aged one to 13 the power of immune-strengthening probiotics plus complete, balanced nutrition.
Just BARE Chicken
Each package of Just BARE chicken comes with a 3 digit code that you can enter on the website to see exactly which family farm your chicken was raised. Plus the chickens are raised without using antibiotics or hormones, are vegetable fed and raised cage-free by independent, local family farmers in the upper Midwest.
Special K Crackers and Blueberry Cereal
The Special K crackers are currently available in two flavors, Italian Tomato & Herb and Multi-Grain, at 90 calories, 8 grams of whole grains and 1 gram of fiber per 17 crackers. The press release describes Special K Blueberry cereal as a "tasty blend of crunchy rice, whole-wheat and blueberry-flavored flakes combined with oat and blueberry-flavored clusters."

Kellogg's FiberPlus Antioxidants bars
The new Kellogg's FiberPlus Antioxidants bars contain 35% of the daily recommended value of fiber, plus 20% of the daily recommended value of antioxidants vitamin E and zinc. They will be available in boxes of five, 1.2-ounce bars in grocery stores across the US beginning in January 2009.
